Intelligence Analyst and Technology Expert Jason Ho’s The Big Plot offers in-depth insights into China’s global espionage and critical technology theft.

Jason Ho, a leading technologist and intelligence industry insider, has released his latest book, “The Big Plot: The Return of the Phoenix.”

Moe Fukada, a Japanese best-selling author, journalist, and information technology (IT) analyst with global experience in executive management and finance, co-authored the book.

This work provides an in-depth analysis of China’s covert operations and their impact on global business, security, and technology. “The Big Plot” covers seldom-revealed issues relating to intelligence operations and intellectual property (IP), offering readers an understanding of the extent and background of China’s undercover missions in the United States and major Western and Asian nations.

The book reveals that over 20,000 Chinese covert agents are operating in the U.S., targeting military secrets and the latest technology from major American corporations.

It also details how China successfully copied critical U.S. military equipment, including F35 and F22 stealth fighter planes, RQ-1 Predator UAVs, and the B2 Spirit bomber.  “Stealing the designs meant avoiding paying hundreds of billions of dollars in development costs,” according to the author.

Notably, Jason Ho was present in many of the critical events of “The Big Plot.” For example, he was the lead designer of computer chips for F-35 fighter plane flight control and image display systems. “I reported the attacks, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) placed me under their Victim Assistance Program. My book contains a more complete list of stolen technologies, alongside the names and photos of the Chinese copies,” shares Ho.

The author’s research for “The Big Plot” uncovered that both the U.S. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and leaders of major companies admitted to being infiltrated by massive Chinese spying. One of many examples is the exchange server data breach in which China accessed the servers of over 30,000 companies in the U.S.

According to expert sources, “The Big Plot” can be a resource for U.S. and Western intelligence and national security agencies, as well as for business executives seeking to partner with or invest in Chinese companies.

“The Big Plot” explores how China’s success in massive-scale spying and IP theft is possible—and also predictable. The book covers the methods employed and reveals contexts such as the relationships of Chinese spy networks with those of neighboring countries.

Various experts have praised “The Big Plot.” Kazuhiro Haraguchi is a member of Japan’s National Diet House of Representatives and its former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications. He shares, “This book clearly depicts geopolitical realities in Asia, especially the complex relationships and histories of Taiwan, China, and Japan. It is educational and informative.”

Mark Bayliss, president of Visual Link Internet Provider and member of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Technological Advisory Council, commented: “The authors detail how China, undetected, becomes a superpower threatening U.S. national security. It is a must-read about the Chinese Communist Party and our global future.”

Jason Ho’s “The Big Plot” is the first in a series that will delve into this subject. The book is now available for purchase through Amazon.
